US President-elect Barack Obama surprised fellow diners in Washington when he dropped in for lunch at Ben's Chili Bowl, a famous fast food restaurant.

Mr Obama ordered the house specialty, a chili half-smoke sausage, but in all the excitement somebody forgot to put cheese on his hotdog.
